Hola de Chile

Dear Family,

This week was great. We found a new investigator who is really interested. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she said that she would read it. She was really nice. Then we came back a couple of days later to set up another appointment, and her husband came out. He immediately started to try and argue with us (He is Evangelical) and said that we were obligating his wife to listen to us. We told him that that was not true and we had only come by to set up another appointment. He told us that by teaching his wife in his house, we condemned her because she listened to us. He told us that we are not to teach in the houses, but in the streets because "Jesus never taught in the house and he only taught in groups." Pfff....  Then we asked him," And the people that hear from the streets, you are condemning them because they didn't listen to you, right?" He automatically changed the subject and then we left after proving our point with scriptures. He wouldn't listen to anything so we left. We knocked a couple of doors and then we saw his wife in the street and talked to her. She said that she had heard everything, and that she is still reading the Book of Mormon. She wants to learn more and wants to follow Jesus Christ. She is Cool. Unfortunately we don't have another appointment with her right now.

That is about the most interesting thing that happened this week.

I am doing fine with everything. Thank you so much for sending me letters - keep doing that. I know that this church is true and that God loves us. I know that we have a prophet here on earth and that he tells the truth. XOXOXOX
