Week Four....

Dear family,

This week has gone by pretty slowly, but it is OK because we have at least 3 people who are going to be baptized on the 27th of July! Fun times. Their names are Sonia ( Grandma ) Pedro ( Father ) and Gustavo ( Son ).  They are just awesome. When we told them about the Word of Wisdom they basically threw away the coffee and tea right in front of us.

Every one of our investigators this week came to church. My trainer said that is the first time that has happened for him and he was way excited to see that happen before he left. That only means that we are going to work harder this week. Another one of our investigators (whose name is Sandra) who is living with her boyfriend of 8 years, had a crazy experience with us in that she was crying because when we were telling her about the plan of Salvation and how she can live with her family forever. She and her boyfriend accepted baptism but the only problem was that they weren´t married.  He thinks that he can´t be married again because he was married in the Catholic Church. Once we explained that he can be married forever she started to cry.  She said that every time we come over it is exactly what she needs at that time. We asked them to pray about getting married and to talk about a date. We are going back over there tomorrow to see how it went.

A word about the food.  The bread here is so good! Chile is the 2nd biggest consumer of bread in the world and they know how to bake bread. And the lunches here are huge. They don't have dinner, so they eat a lot during lunch in order to make it through the whole day.

This picture is from our bathroom. Its a pretty sight in the morning.
I love you all so much, it has been very hard to be away from home and not know the language.
Alma 26:12   I know I am here to find those who need my help. I will find them, teach them, and hopefully baptize them so they can come to Christ.
