So much meat!

Dear Family,

This week was 18 de Septembre here in Chile. It was Crazy!  All day there was music playing in the streets and people dancing in the plaza, SO MUCH MEAT! That day we went to a member's house where they had pork, chicken, beef, empañadas, churipan, and no veggies. Then we went to another house and it was the same thing. Then we were invited to the Stake President's house for his birthday, and guess what.... MORE MEAT!  I know...Crazy.

The first house we had lunch at was Bernardita's. She is incredibly racist toward Argentines and my companion (who is from Columbia).  Not to me though - she loves the Gringos.  But it is just so funny to listen to her speak to my companion.  It's like the first couple of rounds in Rocky 4.

An addition to the mission as of last week - we can only go to the Temple once during our mission, at the end. We can't even go with our recent converts who have prepared a year to go and to have those elders or sister who baptised them go with them to get sealed. Sad day.

Good luck family this week in all that you do. May the lord be with you in all that you do.

I love this Gospel and know that it is the right one. I am so grateful for the atonement and for Christ. This life is hard, but it is all worth it for the life after this.

Seguro Viaje,

Elder Kyle Griffeth

P.S. no photos this week, but the next. Love y'all.
